For the first time, you can sign up for PJ50+ classes in other locations, all for one membership fee. Likewise, participants in the offsite locations can come to the HEC to get more courses for their membership. What a bargain! Call Boo Evans at 572-5448 for more information.

VOLUNTEER LITERACY PROGRAM/English as a Second Language
It's never too late to learn to read, or too early to teach those who can't. Setting yourself on the path to getting your G.E.D has never been easier. But taking the first steps towards literacy can be difficult. In addition, English as a Second Language (ESL) tutoring is available.
The Volunteer Literacy Program removes many of the obstacles that can trip up adult students. The program is free and confidential. Most important of all, tutoring is one-on-one, guaranteeing the kind of personal attention that it takes to progress rapidly to proficiency.
To become a volunteer, or a student, please call us at 434-572-5449.
